The Jamstik Studio ships with an adaptor that allows you to send MIDI data via a standard 5 pin MIDI cable. This is an incredibly handy feature, as it allows you to control (probably) any hardware synths you might have or acquire down the line. Before you begin using this feature, it’s important to optimize the Jamstik’s firmware settings to perform this task.
First, connect your Jamstik to the Creator app, either standalone or in a supported DAW. Then, select Device Settings in the upper left of the plugin. Lastly, switch the MIDI Mode from MPE to Single Channel.
Notice that when you switch to Single Channel mode, the option of First MIDI Channel appears. Some hardware synths and keyboards are set up to only receive outside controller data on channels 2 or above. If you are unable to connect to your hardware, make sure the synth is set up to receive from the same channel as the Jamstik is sending.
If you're able to connect but still having troubles with how the Jamstik is tracking, try turning off Expression Tracking Send.
