We're working on it, but there are some limitations in the Android system.
Our first priority is supporting our iOS apps and Google Chrome web-browser experience, play.jamstik.com—which can be accessed from Mac, PC, or Chromebook.
While select Android Devices running Android 6.0.1+ are able to connect, we cannot officially announce widespread support for the platform at this time. We want the Jamstiks to work perfectly across all current devices, and unfortunately, many of the Android devices do not meet our high standards for audio performance at this time. We will continue to monitor the Android platform closely and hope that we will be able to support it in the future!
**There are legacy versions of the Jamstik+ and JamTutor 1 & JamTutor 2 apps available for Android on the Google Play Store, but it's important to note that these apps will NOT be updated moving forward, and the UI has not been modified to include 7-frets.
General System Requirements: If your device is compliant with the following requirements, technically the Jamstik should work with your device.
- Android Version 6.0.1 Marshmallow or higher
- Bluetooth Low Energy 4.0 Spec
Web OS Compatible Devices
Some software and apps (like the Jamstik Web Play Portal) use advanced browser features, including the Web Audio API, to bring the best experience to you. Right now, Google Chrome is the only browser that supports these features, and it is recommended that you always download the latest version of Google Chrome.
