How to resolve Bluetooth connection issues on a Macbook Pro

If you are trying to connect your jamstik+ to your Macbook Pro via Bluetooth on Yosemite 10.10 without any luck you may want to troubleshoot this - Resetting your computer's PRAM.

Take a look at the picture below.  We have turned on the jamstik+ itself and opened Audio MIDI Setup.  The Window clearly shows that JS1056B5 is advertising Bluetooth signal, but whenever I click the 'Connect' button, the light never turns green or shows a solid connection!
